Lee Brown

CSCS, RSCC, TSAC-F, CSPS, CSci, RCCP

I am currently working towards my PhD by publication, focusing on the "Practical Application of Strength and Conditioning Preparation for Muay Thai Coaches and Athletes." I am a qualified and registered physiologist with BASES, specializing in Strength & Conditioning. I have earned my CSCS certification and have been awarded the RSCC by the NSCA after demonstrating a high level of expertise with professional sports and tactical populations, such as the British Parachute Regiment and the London Fire Brigade. More recently, I have been working with Parkinson’s UK on research involving hypoxia and exercise. Additionally, I am a registered clinical physiologist with the RCCP, a chartered sports & exercise scientist through BASES (multi-disciplinary), and a senior lecturer at the University of East London in high-performance sports. One of my roles is to oversee our working laboratory with clients and scholars at the Human Performance Centre (HPC).

I have used the PowerKube for all of my studies. Its usefulness has been demonstrated in eight published studies so far, with many more to come! Its reliability is second to none, making it the best tool for both researchers and practitioners due to its validity, ecological measurement, robustness, and logistical capability. I have read published articles using various dynamometers and other measuring devices in academia, but none match the effectiveness of the PowerKube! It will undoubtedly outperform anything else on the market and will help train your fighters by providing instant feedback on the power and accuracy of their strikes. I recommend filming your fighters in slow motion, then analyzing the best strikes to understand and replicate their effectiveness. The PowerKube is highly reliable, extremely accurate, and can be used by anyone with its simple software and excellent feedback! If you are in the UK or planning to travel, please feel free to visit the university to try it before you decide to buy it!
